On #HighFiveFriday, we are so excited to share about one of our Supportive Housing clients, Anne, and her recent success! Anne started a new job as a fast-food manager, and with four children she was worried about childcare so she could work full-time. With the help of her case manager, Anne found a daycare for all her children so she could focus on her new job. Anne was also able to save and afford a car for her family and thanks to generous DuPagePads donors, was able to purchase four convertible car seats to transport her children safely. Join us in celebrating all the progress Anne is making in creating a safe and stable environment for her children to grow and thrive in!

The solution to end homelessness.
About us
At DuPagePads, our mission is to end homelessness in DuPage County and we believe we have the solution: housing coupled with support services and employment. Recognizing 30 years of service, DuPagePads has assisted more than 28,000 people, provided nearly 700,000 nights of shelter and over 2,000,000 meals. As the largest and only non-restrictive shelter in the community, DuPagePads is essential to those who are homeless in DuPage County, Illinois. Operating 365 nights a year throughout the county, we first address the basic need for food and shelter, then provide comprehensive support services and Career Employment Solutions to address their individual barriers to return to a place to call “home.” Thank you for joining us and believing in our mission to end homelessness. We know… When someone believes in you, everything can change. Click here to see lives that have been transformed: http://dupagepads.org/what-we-do/success-stories/

Our community is filled with so many kind-hearted people who are looking to make a difference. DuPagePads is grateful to be recipients of this kindness from the team at Big Lots in Oakbrook Terrace! Join us on #ThankfulThursday in thanking them and showing gratitude for the reoccurring shelf stable food donations they bring to the Interim Housing Center. The IHC feeds 300 people each day and food donations like these ensure every guest can be properly fueled to work towards ending their experience with homelessness.

Last week we gathered at Abbington Banquets to say thank you and had a wonderful time celebrating our volunteers, some of whom have volunteered with DuPagePads for over 30 years! Volunteers are at the heart of DuPagePads, and the compassion and dedication each volunteer brings to our mission to end homelessness fills all our hearts with joy and gratitude. Please help us celebrate and say thank you on this #ThankfulThursday, and if you are or have been a recurring volunteer, please share in the comments how many years you have volunteered with DuPagePads so we can celebrate you too!
