"I love what I do because surveying involves researching local history and then applying the correct boundary solution to the task at hand. Whether it be a simple lot survey or retracing an 1850 survey, every survey has its unique challenges and no job is the same. These uncertainties and challenges easily get me out of bed every day with a bounce in my step. My most fulfilling assignment at V3 was the very first one assigned to me in 1999 – the survey for the Renovation of Soldier Field. The project required very accurate measuring (before the age of scanners) and had a very tight design schedule. My 15 minutes of fame came when I was interviewed on TV on NBC and ABC the week before the stadium reopened." Thank you, Christopher D. Bartosz, PLS / LS, for 25 years of insight and innovation!

Update on the Wilson and Prairie Street Intersection improvements project in City of Batavia Illinois. One of the unique challenges is the project crosses two separate BNSF Railway crossings. Working in the BNSF ROW requires special permits, insurance, and safety requirements. Timothy Grimm and I have been working diligently with BNSF to make sure the project stays on schedule. This past month casing pipe was installed under the railroad tracks and working on installing water main. V3 Companies

Thank you, Ryan, for five years of talent and teamwork! When not at work... "My favorite vacation spot is Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. I love the beautiful ocean and beach along with the many activities they have to offer for fun. My favorite thing to do in my past time is play golf, although I don’t get out as much as I would like. I love to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful Midwest summers."

Years in the making, Virgil Park is now open to the public! We worked with Brownsburg Parks to create their first nature-inspired park. Our combined vision to connect residents with native plants and wildlife has resulted in a vibrant habitat and play area where people can step outside their daily hustle and connect with the natural world around them. Named in honor of Diana Virgil, a Brownsburg resident who loved trails and passionately advocated for the Henricks County trail system, this trailhead park celebrates the site’s history while looking to the future to support a growing, active community. This project embodies our landscape architecture team's mission to connect people with nature and each other through thoughtful community spaces; thank you to the Town of Brownsburg for trusting us to deliver this special project and serve your community. Additional thanks to Studio Thirteen for capturing the park's opening day with such artistry! Our second annual V3 retreat was a major success! Each year, half the company comes together to engage, unite, and connect with team members across regions, learning from each other while also having fun. We met up in Columbus for two days of team building, information sessions, and social activities. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life!
