    DuPage Township Food Pantry

    Poverty Alleviation

    The DuPage Township Food Pantry exists to supplement the nutritional needs of the Township’s residents.

    The Food Pantry is available to DuPage Township families experiencing food insecurity. Residents may come to the pantry twice a month and receive additional items for planning meals for their families.

    Hours: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00AM-2:00PM Sat 9:00-11AM

    Fortitude Community Outreach

    This award was presented to me as the first mayor in Kankakee County to lead efforts in changing municipal ordinances to allow shelter facilities to serve the homeless population. Additionally, the mayor's office strongly supported the organization during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic to offer City of Kankakee resources such as food, funding, and porta potties with handwashing facilities.

    Recipient of the 2018 Merit Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects–Illinois for the Kankakee Riverfront Master Plan; received funding from private and public grants; phase one of the project is underway.
