Meet Tamara Powers, FNBC’s Residential Loan Originator. Tami is the go-to person at our LaGrange branch for all things related to purchasing and refinancing residential properties, including primary or secondary homes and investment properties up to four units. What’s the one thing she wishes more people understood about the mortgage loan process? The impact of a credit score on the interest rate. Good to know! With attentive service as one of her top priorities, Tami enjoys working with her customers from the initial loan application all the way to the final loan payment years later. “It’s great to work with customers for several years and support them throughout the life of their loan and over the span of their relationship with FNBC.” Tami has lived in the LaGrange/Western Springs area for more than 27 years, working at FNBC for the past 10 years. If you happen to see her around town, it will probably be at one of her favorite restaurants – Santiago's in LaGrange, or Hillgrove Tap in Western Springs.

Meet Candace Racz, Assistant Vice President & Mortgage Origination Team Leader. Candace works primarily out of our West Chicago branch, overseeing the mortgage, residential, and consumer lending functions of the bank. She also provides top-notch service to our customers, assisting them with everything from completing the initial loan application to answering questions or providing customer support to the final loan payoff, which is always a happy moment for her clients. What’s Candace's favorite thing about working with her customers? “I have worked at FNBC for 20 years and I am always impressed that our customers are so loyal to FNBC and to the local community. It’s great to see and building such strong connections is very rewarding.” Speaking of strong connections, Candace is a lifelong resident of the far western suburbs and enjoys helping young families discover the hidden gems of the local area. “Reed-Keppler Park is a great spot for families to picnic and explore, and West Chicago’s Railroad Days festival is great fun for everyone.”
